For seminar 5 (January 28, 2009), Media Literacy in the 21st Century, NSDL featured our experts Daniella Quiñones, Marketing Coordinator for WGBH Teachers' Domain and Dr. Russanne Low, Senior Research Associate at the University of Colorado, CCB, INSTAAR. With the large volume of materials available online, learning how to assess and validate resources from reliable sources becomes an important 21st century school for both educators and students. This seminar examines media literacy, what it means and ways to develop your skills in selecting resources based on categories of authorship, currency, timeliness, organizational focus, and more.
